Patch the Client

Newell RO has content the stock client does not include: custom maps, NPC sprites, Daily Quest titles, and text tables. All of it is delivered through the Newell RO Launcher.

Newell RO Launcher

Newell RO Launcher.exe is the official Newell RO patcher. Besides installing updates, the launcher shows:

The latest news from the team (events, maintenance, patch notes), the same as on the website
Server status and the number of players online
A countdown to the next WoE
An English / Indonesia language choice (the EN / ID button at the top right)

Don't have it yet? Download Patcher.zip from newellro.cloud/download and extract its contents (Newell RO Launcher.exe and Newell RO Launcher.cfg) into the game folder. Both files must be in the same folder.

Already using the Newell RO Patcher?

The launcher is not installed through updates. Download Patcher.zip from newellro.cloud/download, extract it into the game folder, and from now on start the game from the Launcher. The old patcher still works as a backup.

How to Update

Run Newell RO Launcher.exe in the game folder. Windows asks for Administrator permission, choose Yes.
Wait until the bar is full. The launcher only downloads files that changed.
Press PLAY (or MAIN when the launcher is in Indonesian).

Do this every time you want to play. When there is a new update, the launcher installs it automatically. A new launcher version (if any) is announced in the news and downloaded again from the download page.

Do not start the game directly from Ragexe

Starting the game without the launcher means skipping updates. The result ranges from mild (empty quest titles) to serious (maps or NPCs not showing, client errors).

Graphics & Sound Settings

The Setup button in the launcher opens the graphics, sound, and gameplay settings. Close the game before saving, because the game overwrites these settings when it exits. The settings apply the next time the game starts.

Microsoft Edge WebView2

The launcher uses Microsoft Edge WebView2, which already comes with Windows 10 and 11. If you see the message "Microsoft Edge WebView2 required", choose Yes to open Microsoft's download page, install the WebView2 Runtime, and open the launcher again. In the meantime, the old Newell RO Patcher.exe still works.

Troubleshooting

News / server status do not show	the connection to the website dropped	patching still works normally; try reopening the launcher
