# Auto-Combat

Auto-Combat is Newell RO's **official bot**. Your character hunts on its own: it looks for monsters,
attacks, uses skills, drinks potions, and teleports when the area is cleared.

No outside program is needed. Third-party bot programs are still **forbidden** and lead to a ban. See
the [Rules](../rules.md).

## Controls

| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Start / Stop button in the window | turn it on / off |
| crossed swords button in Basic Info | open the Auto Combat window (settings) |

## Penalty

| | Regular | [Premium](premium.md) |
|---|---|---|
| EXP | **−10%** | **−5%** |
| Drop | **−20%** | **−10%** |

The penalty is also shown in red at the top of the Auto Combat window (crossed swords button in Basic Info).

## Running Time

Every character gets **4 free hours of Auto-Combat a day**. You do not need an item.

| | |
|---|---|
| Free time | **4 hours per character per day**. It only counts down while Auto-Combat / Auto-Support is running (AFK mode included) |
| Reset | **00:00 server time**. Unused free time does not carry over to the next day |
| More time | **Buy 1 hour** button in the Auto Combat window: **25 Cash Points** per hour |
| Bought hours | never expire. They are used **only after** the free hours of the day run out, so they wait until you need them |
| Out of time | Auto-Combat stops. A character in AFK mode logs out |

The top of the Auto Combat window shows your time, for example
`Free today 2:32:00 / 4:00:00 Bought 5:00:00 (free resets in 6h 30m)`. When you start, the chat also shows
the time you have left. You get a warning when **10, 5, and 1 minute** are left, and another when the free time
runs out and your bought hours start.

The time belongs to the character, not the account. Each character has its own 4 free hours and its own bought hours.

While Auto-Combat runs, your character still shows the **Auto Command Device** above its head.

## Requirements to Turn It On

### A way to teleport

!!!danger Teleport skill or teleport item required
Starting Auto-Combat is **refused** unless the **Move** tab has the Teleport skill or a teleport item ticked (and the
item is in your inventory). The exception is **Walk only** in the same tab: then the bot walks around the map
and never teleports to look for monsters.
!!!

What the bot teleports with, in this order:

| Order | Skill / item |
|---|---|
| 1 | Giant Fly Wing / **Infinite Giant Fly Wing** (only when you are the party leader and members are on the map, it takes them along) |
| 2 | **Teleport skill** level 1: from the Acolyte line (Acolyte, Priest, Monk...) or from a **Creamy Card**. Costs SP, saves your Fly Wings |
| 3 | **Infinite Flywing** |
| 4 | Fly Wing, Novice Fly Wing |
| 5 | Level 1 Teleport (a one-use magic scroll that casts Teleport level 1) |

The Teleport skill is always a random teleport on the same map, like a Fly Wing. When your SP is too low for it,
the bot uses a ticked item instead. The Teleport skill from a **Creamy Card** counts as the skill: tick
**Teleport skill** in the Move tab and no Fly Wings are needed.

!!!info What is the Giant Fly Wing for?
A Giant Fly Wing teleports the **whole party on the map** to the same random spot. It is for a party leader
running Auto-Combat together with supporters on [Auto-Support](auto-support.md): with a normal Fly Wing or the
Teleport skill only the leader would jump away and the supporters would be left behind, so while supporters are
on the map the bot looks for new monsters **only** with a Giant Fly Wing (otherwise it walks). Emergency teleports
(an avoided monster, an MVP) still use the skill or a normal Fly Wing.

The [Cash Shop](cash-shop.md) sells an **Infinite Giant Fly Wing** (1-day rental) that is never used up.
!!!

## Where It Can Be Used

| Location | Allowed? |
|---|---|
| Regular hunting maps | yes |
| Towns | no |
| PvP | no |
| GvG / WoE | no |
| Battleground | no |

## Turns Off Automatically When...

- Your running time is used up (free hours of the day and bought hours)
- Your character dies (unless the Token option is on)
- You move to a forbidden map
- You are carrying **90%** weight
- You run out of ammunition and do not equip more within **10 seconds**
- You run out of skill catalysts, or do not have enough SP for any attack skill
- None of your chosen monsters spawns on this map and teleporting is not possible (if they spawn here but are all
dead, the bot walks around and waits for them to respawn)

## Behavior

| Topic | Behavior |
|---|---|
| **Kill stealing** | no, monsters already fighting another player are skipped |
| **Monsters attacking you** | always get priority, also while walking to another monster |
| **Choosing a target** | 1. monsters attacking you, 2. monsters you already hit, 3. the **Priority** order of the Monster tab (#1 first), 4. the shortest walk (walls count) |
| **No monster nearby** | walks to the biggest group of your monsters on the map, along the real way there (round walls and rivers) |
| **All your monsters dead** | patrols the map, going to the areas it has not looked at for longest, until they respawn |
| **MVPs** | not attacked if you have not selected any monster |
| **Mini bosses** | same, when "Skip mini bosses when nothing is ticked" is on |
| **Loot** | not automatic, use `@alootid` / `@autoloot`. [Premium](premium.md): [Auto Storage](#auto-storage-premium) puts it into your storage |
| **Portals & NPCs** | blocked while active, so the bot does not wander off |

!!!info Want to use a portal?
Stop it first in the Auto Combat window. While Auto-Combat is active, portals and OnTouch NPCs are disabled on
purpose.
!!!

## Settings in the Auto Combat Window

| Section | Contents |
|---|---|
| **Monsters** | choose target monsters and their priority (▲▼), or leave it empty for everything except MVPs |
| **Attack skills** | skills you have learned, used in order of priority |
| **Buff skills** | buffs for yourself, no limit |
| **Buff items** | up to 5 items |
| **Potions** | HP and SP potions with their percentage thresholds |
| **Move** | Teleport skill and teleport items to use, Walk only, when to teleport, return to town, Auto Storage |
| **Token** | revive automatically with a Token of Siegfried (default: off) |
| **Revive party members** | Skill tab, third page: Off, Resurrection skill only, Yggdrasil Leaf only, or skill first and then Yggdrasil Leaf (default: off) |

Normal attacks automatically fill the gaps while skills are on cooldown or you are low on SP.

!!!warning Skills that cannot be selected
Toggle buffs such as Hiding, Bard/Dancer songs, and some skills that are dangerous when repeated (Self
Destruction, White Imprison, Call Homunculus, Auto Spell) are left out of the list on purpose.
!!!

## Auto Storage (Premium)

On the second page of the **Move** tab. Tick **Put loot into storage** and choose the weight (default **70%**).
When your weight reaches it, your loot goes straight into your storage, without a Kafra and for free.

| | |
|---|---|
| What is stored | only items your autoloot picked up **during this Auto-Combat run** |
| What stays | HP/SP potions, cure and buff items you selected, Fly Wing, Giant Fly Wing, Butterfly Wing, skill catalysts, your ammunition, and items you equip, lock as favorite or rent |
| Storage full | a message tells you once, the loot stays in your inventory. Then **Return to town → When weight reaches** (Butterfly Wing) or the 90% weight stop takes over |
| Premium ends | Auto Storage stops, the weight rules work as usual |

The window shows how full your storage is (Premium storage holds **600** items).

## Limits

| | |
|---|---|
| Game clients per computer | up to **4** |
| Characters using Auto-Combat / Auto-Support per computer | up to **3** |
| Cannot run together with | Auto-Support **on the same character** (one character either fights or supports). Your other characters in the same party **can** run Auto-Support for you, see [Auto-Support](auto-support.md) |
| Auto-Support and AFK mode | [Premium](premium.md) only. Without Premium you can only use Auto-Combat |

## Ranged Weapons

Bows and Guns do **not** refill ammunition automatically. When you run out, the bot stops attacking and you
have 10 seconds to equip more yourself before Auto-Combat turns off.
